Mid-November, Lagos people started ordering “just small cupcakes” for end-of-year parties. Corporate branding cakes. PTA gifts. Class parties. Then came last-minute engagement cakes, alumni reunion cakes that nearly made us cry, IJGB clients paying in dollars, and Mohammed sending voice notes from traffic stand-still. By Christmas Eve, we were EXHAUSTED… but we delivered every order. And when we finally went out to enjoy Detty December for ourselves? PURE JOY.
